The unexpected appearance of the Demon Lord plunged the Western Heaven into despair.

When they experienced the difficulty in Chechi Country, they thought the Dragon Clan entering the world and seizing their territory was the lowest point, but they never imagined something even more terrifying could happen.

The bottom wasn't the end; the abyss was their eternal home!

Now, the gate to this abyss had been completely blasted open, becoming an irreversible passage between the Three Realms and the abyss.

With the Demon Lord's return to the abyss, it was likely he would soon stage a comeback from within!

The Two Sages stated that the matter of karma was irreversible, and they could only take things as they came, believing that sincerity would naturally turn misfortune into good fortune.

In other words, 'I don't care.'

The Two Sages' attitude was also very normal.

They had damaged their Dharma treasures, upon which they relied to achieve enlightenment, and sacrificed a severed finger as the price to repair the abyss gate, only to end up with a permanent connection between the Three Realms and the abyss.

No one was responsible for this, nor did anyone have the ability to be responsible.

Unless the Two Sages went all out and paid ten or a hundred times the price, perhaps they could close the passage between the Three Realms and the abyss.

But was that possible?

Obviously not. The Two Sages weren't that great.

If they had such sentiments, they wouldn't have been ridiculed by the Sages as shameless back then.

Their previous willingness to seal the abyss gate was purely out of fear that the Demon Clan would stage a comeback and disrupt the Western Journey, but now there was no need to fear, it was definitely coming!

Therefore, the Two Sages dumped all the mess on Buddha Tathagata, making him fully responsible for cleaning up the mess, or they would hold him accountable!

Buddha Tathagata's mood was imaginable.

Anger, unwillingness, grievance?

At this moment, Buddha Tathagata was somewhat numb.

The successive calamities had shaken the confidence of the Western Heaven.

They hadn't even completed half of the eighty-one tribulations, and the Western Heaven had already paid a huge price, even becoming half-dead.

What terrifying things would happen if they continued?

But they couldn't stop.

The Western Journey was a major event set by the Sages to complete the tribulations, and the only way for the Western Heaven to achieve a closed-loop hegemony in the Three Realms, so they had to complete it even if they were crying.

Of course, this matter was very troublesome, so Buddha Tathagata still went to the Two Sages to explain the matter clearly first.

Mahamayuri was still being very cautious and serious, saying:

"Buddha, what about the matter of the Western Journey tribulations in the lower realm? Do I still need to go and watch over it?"
