#1793 - Conversation between old foxes, Chu Hao's request

In the Western Paradise, at Mount Ling, the Buddha Assembly continued. When Guanyin appeared with Chu Hao, Tathagata specifically instructed her to bring him to a side hall of the Great Thunderclap Temple.

In the side hall, the two big shots, the Jade Emperor and Tathagata, sat above. One side shimmered with divine light, filled with auspicious energy, while the other radiated brilliant Buddha light, dazzling and magnificent.

One was the co-lord of the Heavenly Court, and the other was the lord of the Western Paradise. Their positions and strengths were comparable, but if you really had to compare, Tathagata's position was slightly lower than the Jade Emperor's.

On one hand, it was because the Jade Emperor had served as a page to the Dao Ancestor. On the other hand, the Three Pure Ones of Taoism were much stronger than the Two Sages of the West.

Therefore, Tathagata didn't hide anything about this matter.

Actually, there was another reason for Tathagata's actions: he thought that with the Jade Emperor present, Chu Hao, this deity of the Heavenly Court, wouldn't be so presumptuous.

While he was pondering, Guanyin had already led Chu Hao in.

Chu Hao first bowed to the Jade Emperor: "Your Majesty."

The Jade Emperor nodded and said softly, "Warden Chu Hao, they say you have betrayed the Heavenly Court and entered the Demonic Path?"

Before Tathagata could speak, the Jade Emperor took the lead in asking.

This matter could be big or small, depending on what the two big shots thought, so the Jade Emperor preemptively asked.

The purpose was actually very simple: to get Chu Hao to quickly make an excuse so everyone could find a way out.

Chu Hao instantly understood the Jade Emperor's meaning and feigned grievance, saying, "Your Majesty, I'm wronged! How would this lowly god dare to betray the Heavenly Court? My association with the Demonic Path is actually for the sake of the Heavenly Court!"

"Oh? Tell me about it, and don't lie," the Jade Emperor said, looking at Chu Hao with a glint in his eyes, as if saying, "Hurry, hurry, make up some more lies to deceive Tathagata."

To be honest, he didn't believe Chu Hao would betray the Heavenly Court, because there was no benefit to be gained from doing so, but right now, he still had to give the Western Paradise some face.

"It's like this, Your Majesty. Wasn't it the case that Pleiades Star Lord betrayed the Heavenly Court and fell into the Demonic Path? As the Law Enforcement Warden of the Three Realms, I naturally couldn't let such a thing happen again, so I investigated this matter on my own," Chu Hao said with utmost sincerity.

"What does this have to do with you being at Lion Camel Ridge?" Guanyin frowned.

"Great Master Guanyin, please hear me out. Later, I naturally investigated secretly, and then slowly traced it back to the three demons of Lion Camel Ridge. Plus, I had some previous connections with the Demonic Path, so I planned to infiltrate them," Chu Hao said very seriously.

Only, these words made Tathagata and Guanyin look a little strange.

Previous connections with Maitreya Buddha? Was that just connections? That was an enmity!
