Chapter 14 Two Porcupines

Despite being equipped with a silver-scaled breastplate and riding a bicycle with a pickaxe, Lei Chi would be easily defeated in a fight.

Chen Hanxiang, Ma Dongqi, and Su Youlin followed behind. They noticed the Little Green Snake and the Bubble Turtle and began to discuss them.

250 gold coins! If an average new player were to dig in a level 2 gold mine, even if they only dug once per second, without eating or drinking, it would take them over 340 hours, more than 14 days!

Lei Chi immediately retrieved the compensation treasure chest. The compensation treasure chest was still made of wood. As soon as the lid of the treasure chest was opened, he received a system notification: "Ding, one insurance, one city safe, no fear of invasion, worry-free reconstruction. The stats of the [Porcupine] are actually quite poor. Even with the tower defense technology bonus, it only has four attack power, an attack speed of 1.0, and a damage per second of only 4. Its range is also not very far. Compared to the [Little Green Snake] and [Bubble Turtle], it is far inferior.

But having this tower is better than not having it at all.

Lei Chi then took out the [Low-Level Wild Monster Summoning Scroll] from the treasure chest. This item is similar to the blueprint for building defensive towers. After obtaining it, it gained attributes and its name changed to [Wasteland Spider Summoning Scroll].

[Wasteland Spider Summoning Scroll: Special item, consumable. Use to summon a wave of Wasteland Spiders to invade your secret camp. The defense mechanism for this invasion is the same as the monster invasion. Lei Chi thought about it for a moment and felt that this summoning scroll was pretty good. Putting aside whether he could get any loot, the key was that there were a total of 10,000 little spiders. Ten of them would spawn per second, and maybe some would sneak away. Then, [Little Tiger] could farm kills.

However, there are definitely a lot of small spiders that cannot be hit by the melee beast towers, such as the "Little Tiger" and "Little Turtle".

Looking at the current defensive tower configuration of our own camp, if the Wasteland Spiders were to invade, the attack speed of both the [Little Green Snake] and the [Bubble Turtle] is 0.5. The former can easily kill a Wasteland Spider in two seconds, and the latter's water bubbles can also kill three at once.

These two defensive towers can kill four Wasteland Spiders in two seconds. Even if two [Porcupines] are built, the killing efficiency is only four per second, which is far from keeping up with the respawn rate of Wasteland Spiders. Therefore, it is definitely impossible to prevent the invasion of Wasteland Spiders, and many Wasteland Spiders will rush into the camp square.

After a moment's thought, Lei Chi placed the two porcupines symmetrically at the "60-meter" mark in the war corridor, and then placed the little sea turtle at the "3-meter" mark in front of it, symmetrical to the other little sea turtle.

Thus, there are now a total of 10 defensive towers in this secret camp in Leichi, along with four little tigers, two little turtles, two porcupines, plus [Little Green Snake] and [Bubble Turtle], raising the camp's defense index to 10 points.
